Here is the message I received this morning on how better to move with the energy in 2014:
…
Look forward
Right after that message, 3 different experiences from my past floated up in my memory when I was told to look forward.
1) Jr. High track. Reviewing that time I now realized I only joined because my friends were interested, so I went with the group energy. I wasn’t good in track and I didn’t even really like it. But I was there in hopes to “fit in” and “be like everybody else”.
The coach was always stressing at us, ‘to look forward when you are running. Don’t look back to see where the other runners are. Keep your focus where you want to go!!’
Lesson: Fear of being different and a little ego….’wonder how fast/slow I’m going compared to the others?’
2) Working at a car dealership. I worked in the accessory department and when it was slow I would help park the cars back on the lot. This is a two person project and you CANNOT use the mirrors in the car. (the outside person scolds you!!) You have to look at the person standing outside of the car in front of you and watch their guidance. While backing up the car you can only look forward. Not over your shoulder at what is behind you.
Lesson: Fear of the unknown and having no control. Totally letting go and allowing to be guided by Someone.
3) Learning how to ride a 1200 lb, 2 year old colt. Now I grew up riding horses, but learning/training a colt is a WHOLE different set of rules. Jess, my very patience and wonderful trainer, would tell me to look where you want to go. The horse feels it and will ride in that direction. Crazy!!! But it works!
Lesson: Relax. What you feel inside radiates out and creates your world.
Back to the energy of moving forward in 2014….
* Be your Authentic Self. Not what the ‘group’ is Do-ing.
* Learn to Love the unknown
* Look forward at your intention/goal. Where you focus your thoughts your energy goes in that direction. A lion only looks at it’s target. Nothing else. It moves slow, steady with it’s eyes/energy only on the target.
Tomorrow is the Chinese New Year of the Horse and 2014 is going to be an awesome ride!! Keep your focus forward on what you want to do in your life and you won’t get “bucked off” (cheesy, I know! But it’s true!!) 😉
Let’s ride!!
