✨Yoga Nidra
Yoga is a Sanskrit word that means union.
Yoking together the parts of self… ego, body, mind, and spirit. Bringing it all into alignment, heart, mind, and spirit.
Nidra is a Sanskrit word that translates to sleep in English.
Yoga Nidra (Sanskrit for “Yogic Sleep”) is a deeply restorative guided meditation that takes you to the threshold between waking and sleeping — where profound healing and energetic restoration can occur.
But it’s not just relaxation. It’s conscious rest with a purpose.
Yoga Nidra is a specific practice that aims to induce a deep state of relaxation and inner awareness. It’s like a lucid dream state — but for healing and intention-setting. It is designed to awaken your soul’s truth.
What Happens During Yoga Nidra?
You lie down comfortably (usually in Savasana) and are gently guided through:
Body awareness scans
Breath awareness
Sankalpa (sacred intention)
Visualizations and energy work
Deep states of conscious stillness
Your body fully relaxes, but your mind stays lightly awake, riding waves of alpha and theta brain states. You rest. You receive.
Benefits of Yoga Nidra
Deep nervous system reset
Releases stress, anxiety, and chronic tension
Supports trauma healing and nervous system repair
Enhances creativity, intuition, and emotional clarity
Promotes deep sleep and hormonal balance
Accessible to all — no yoga experience needed!
Yoga Nidra is Spirituality at It’s Finest
In ancient texts, Yoga Nidra is the state where the soul remembers itself.
Your Sankalpa is the sacred seed you plant during Yoga Nidra — a soul truth stated in the present tense, aligned with your vision, vibration, and expansion.
I am in the process of creating a Yoga Nidra program for my clients. It is designed to be restorative and energetically refueling. I can’t wait to share it with you!
