Drum Making Workshop with Yolanda
Yolanda Martinez is from Las Cruces, New Mexico. She is an Artist, Singer, Composer, and Master Drum Maker.
In 1986 Spirit sent a message for her to make Drums. She made her first drum in 1987. This turned out to be a base drum made out of a redwood planter. She thought she had completed her task, and was ready to move on, WRONG! Great Spirit still kept after her to “MAKE DRUMS”!
Yolanda will hold a two day workshop.
Day One she starts the workshop by smudging everyone with Sage and opens the circle with an opening prayer. She introduces herself and tells how powerful an instrument that is about to be made. She will make a demo drum so that everyone has an idea of what they are about to make. Yolanda will then guide in creating the 16”
Cow drum. She brings all supplies and brings the Beater already done.
Day two she does a Drumming to Birth the Drums. This is the day you get to hear their Drums voice for the first time.
Participants learn how to play their Drum as not to be intimidated. People leave the workshop feeling elated, empowered, enlightened and creative. Day Two will be at a Medicine Wheel near Jamestown.

Thursday, April 12th at 7:00p.m. we are having the 9 Oil Treatment Class again. If you missed last month’s Oil Treatment Class or would like to experience the oils again, RSVP soon as space is limited to 10. Investment is $10.00.
Saturday, April 14th Open 11 – 2:00p.m. We are also having the Wildtree Open House at the store again. Please come taste wonderful and easy to prepare meals and some Gluten-Free yummy food. No lie, I didn’t know it was Gluten Free!
Wednesday, April 25th at 7:00p.m. Oil Class. This class will either be the Feelings Oil Class or another 9 Oil Treatment Class. Demand will choose which class.
Saturday, April 28th from 10:00 – 3:00-ish Make Shift Happen Class. This will be a big class and a big day. If you are wanting to make changes in any area of your life (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, financial & energetic) this is where you will learn to Make Shifts happen! We will learn to clear stuck, stagnant, low vibration energy in each of these areas. Class includes tools, charts, water, snacks throughout day (this is a lot of energy we will be working with and food helps ground) Investment is $111.00 and when you register you will receive more information as to what you will need to bring to class for your personal journey. Part of what you will learn is some of what I do in an energy/Reiki treatment session. Another part is Chakras, beliefs and our body. And the final part is what will unfold as we are in class….where the magic resides.
Saturday May 5th from 11:00 – 3:00 Intro to Dowsing Class. With each thought, every time we affirm a belief we create an energy around ourselves. Learn how to detect, measure and change energy at this Saturday’s Dowsing Class. Contact us today to reserve your spot. Happy middle of March!
This is a big week….we have Spring beginning, the New Moon and the second week of Mercury Retrograde. For the most part it will be a calm week. Just a day or two of some “extra” energy…..
Wednesday could be a confusing day with “extra” energy due to the Mercury Retrograde and a day before the New Moon. Any plans, purchases or projects are best to be put on hold for one more day. The energy before a New Moon is where we get the saying, “nothing will come of this”….as anything started in the void-of-course Moon phase usually never pans out.
Thursday, New Moon day, is a great time to make new beginnings! Because Mercury is Retrograde, this New Moon can best be used for clarifying your desires and setting intentions for the future. Thinking of what you do want! Keep your eye on the prize is my new favorite mantra.
The Sun will enter Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, signaling the start of a new cycle. Since we are in Mercury Retrograde, may I suggest slowing down and using this time to look at your life with a different perspective. Ending what didn’t work for you in the past and starting a new pattern. Let’s hear it for….”do overs are great!” Do it over with a different energy (thought, action, intention, belief, etc)
This energy of the New Moon, new cycles of the zodiac, Spring, slowing down with Retrogrades and of course the 2012 energy of expansion is a powerful time to make amazing shifts in your life. Take advantage of this energy! The Universe is rolling out the red carpet for us to really step into our full potential. Allow your self to let it happen. By using the Universe’s energy this week and feeling, planning and thinking with your heart….shift happens.

March is feeling like the month of huge progress! We have some projects that are really shifting and moving forward at Doorways To…
This next week will be about completing a couple things before Mercury Retrograde starts on March 12 and continues thru April 4th. Keep in mind that three days before and after those dates the energy is still about reviewing, reviewing, re-evaluate and then review some more. Double check all appointments, back-up your computers and really try not to purchase any major items or sign contracts during Mercury Retrograde. If you must do any of these then really review before finalizing. Also, this is a time where communications are jumbled and people are misunderstood. Talk and listen from your heart will help tremendously.
This Wednesday the 7th at 7:00p.m. is the Oil Treatment Class. Cost is $10.00. Please wear a shirt you can place your hand directly on your shoulders…turtle necks not recommended for this class…

February & March Calendar
There will be NO Crystal class this Thursday, February 23rd. That class will be moved to a Saturday morning. Date to be announced soon….the plan is that the Free Crystal class will be held once a month at 10:00a.m. with the store opening at 11:00a.m. Yes, that means the store will be open one Saturday a month to the public! Normally we leave Saturdays for classes & events, but now we will be open one Saturday a month. YEAH! We are just going through the calendar to see what Saturday is not already booked.
This Saturday, February 25th at 11:00a.m. is Intro to Dowsing Class. Mindi will be teaching us in this introductory class how to measure your energy and the energy around you. You will explore energy and how it affects our homes, businesses, bodies We will even learn ways to change the energy in and around you. It is going to be so much fun!! We have some spots left. Wednesday, March 7th is our Oil Class night. HOWEVER, this is going to be done differently than the past oil classes we have offered. This class it is going to be a Treatment Session. We will be going over the 9 Everyday Oils AND you will be applying them to yourself. So bring your physical aches and pains and experience first hand how the oils can help you. The investment will be $10.00 for this class (if you have the 9 Young Living Everyday Oils please bring them for you to use.) A RESERVATION MUST BE MADE FOR THIS CLASS.
Saturday, March 10th is Soul Coaching Collage Workshop from 1:00p.m. – 5p.m. Empower your dreams by participating in this workshop provided by a Certified Soul Coach. The creating of this Dream Poser is an inner journey that allows your soul to speak to you. Your soul’s voice can be heard through the images, feelings and insights that surface from creating this collage. Your investment is $29.00 which includes all supplies, water, juice and snacks. March 22nd Soul Coaching Classes start. This is a 4 week class in person and online to help you hear the messages from your Soul. Do you feel that you want to make changes in your life, but don’t exactly know what those changes are for sure? Do you feel that you are missing something in your life, but again, don’t know exactly what it is? Soul Coaching is a powerful program that anyone can do. It is a process that takes you to your spiritual source and helps you find meaning and sacredness in your everyday life. Daily guided meditations and assignments are emailed to you during our 4 weeks together. If you feel this class calling to you, please contact me for additional information and to reserve your spot.

This year is going to be a big and busy year! It is time for me to go through a couple new “doorways”….
First off, we are updating the website! YEAH!!! Soul & Surroundings Coaching is in the final stages of melding with Doorways To… (can I hear another YEAH!!)
Second, is the store location is such a magical place. Everyday something amazing happens! We want that magic to expand right along with this new and powerful year!! And as January slowly unfolds, which is wonderful since the Christmas Season raced by us, Roger and I are in the process of expanding the retail area into the classroom so the magic of this amazing year has space to – you guessed it – EXPAND!
This year, 2012, is an important year for our souls to expand to the highest potential. Take time to listen to your soul and heart’s desires while sitting in our store having gourmet chocolates and tea! Listening to soothing music while finding meaningful gifts for loved ones. Or, really expand your soul and take in some of the events and classes that are offered.
Third, we are also expanding our website for online shopping plus adding a couple new websites. More details to come soon. Yeah, magic in the world wide web!

July 15th Full Moon Gifts
What a month July has been so far! We started off with a solar eclipse on the 1st of July….the last of three eclipses in a row…a solar eclipse on June 1st, a lunar eclipse on June 15th and another solar eclipse on July 1.
Eclipses present opportunities for major transformations. They bring lots of power into the world and accelerate transformation. The very short version of this last eclipse…This is a MAJOR new beginning. Take a look back at your June….how was it for you? It is time to step through the doorway into a new reality.
Full Moons bring us to fruitation or illuminate for all to be seen! The Full Moon is the pinnacle, the climactic point. The time to look at what we have strived for and either unveil it for others to see or use the full light to tweak and make changes. A time of introspection.
July’s Full Moon is called Thunder Moon or Hay Moon. So far for us in North Dakota it has been Thunder Moon. Not much haying going on with all this rain!
The gift of this Full Moon is learning more about our connection between our genuine desire and our ability to manifest. What you desire for more than anything else is what your Soul is desiring for this incarnation. A pure desire, not based on neediness, selfishness, but our true heartfelt desire. This is different for each one of us and it takes some quiet time to really go through that “soul doorway” to find the answers that are awaiting inside.
The New Earth is here. You can experience it one of two ways. 1) Kicking and screaming and staying stuck in your own s_ _ t OR 2) Try a different doorway. The doorway that has a golden light which illuminates a gateway of possiblities. As Guardian of a Doorway, I’m here for you. Holding that light to help you turn the light on inside of you to fulfill your Soul’s true desires.

As with everything, it is a process and I’m fully enjoying the process of Doorways to…..!! It has been such a magical 45 days! What a six month ride I have been on!!! It is hard for me to grasp that the last time I posted on my website was in December! Well, I’m here now!

The name of it is Doorways to….. and it is located at 208 1st Avenue South, Jamestown, North Dakota. At this time we are open Tuesdays & Thursdays 11:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. More days will be added in the near future.
